SRT to TXT, ready to read
Remove timestamps, join caption lines, and edit the text before saving.
Formatting, supported files, and privacy
How it works. Choose an existing SRT or WebVTT file. The tool removes cue numbers, timestamps, and common subtitle formatting tags. It joins lines within a cue, then groups nearby cues using punctuation and pauses of more than two seconds. Review and edit the result before exporting.
Numbers are preserved. Numbers inside the spoken text remain in the output. Adjacent identical cues can be removed, but overlapping rolling captions are not semantically rewritten. Speaker labels written in the text are kept; VTT voice tags are removed. Notes, styles, and region definitions are skipped.
Files and encodings. One file at a time, up to 2 MB and 50,000 cues. UTF-8 is the default; select another encoding if the text is unreadable. This is not a video, audio transcription, translation, or subtitle download service.
